The tin can serves as a suitcase easel, the picture is removable. You could have it framed as a picture like this and hang it on the wall without a tin can.
Here in Val Müstair, summer comes to the valley almost at the same time as spring. No sooner has the yellow from the dandelion faded, the meadows bloom in all colors.
I painted this little picture at the beginning of the year when you could get fresh, ripe clementines at the market.
Corsican clementines can be recognized by their dark green leaves and thin skin. They are quite small and have a delicate flavor.
“In 1892, botanist Louis Charles Trabut observed the first hybrid plants in his brother Clément’s nursery near Oran in Algeria. He named the fruit in his honor and devoted an article to its discovery in the Revue horticole française in 1902. The career of the clementine took its course. The first traces of clementine trees in Corsica date back to 1925, planted by Don Philippe Semidei in Figareto on the east coast.” https://www.france.fr/de/korsika/liste/alles-wissenswerte-klementinen-aus-korsika
Now – at the beginning of June everything starts to bloom at the same time here in Val Müstair. I cut from my favorite roses in my garden and painted them in a small Moroccan bowl.
The hamlet of Fuldera Daint is located at 1635 meters above sea level, in the beautiful Val Müstair and offers a breathtaking view of the imposing Piz Turettas towards the south and towards the north of the Ofen Pass and the National Park.
For me a true retreat, in the middle of this alpine landscape.
